Madeline Mackay


Madeline Mackay grew up in Caithness and studied Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee. Since graduating in 2012 she has received several major awards, including the Alexander Graham Munro Travel Award, the RSA Barns-Graham Travel Award and the RE Joseph Webb Memorial Prize for an outstanding intaglio printmaker under 35.

Her work is represented by a number of galleries across the UK and has been included in many prestigious group and open exhibitions including the RSA member’s show 2013 as an invited artist, the RSW Annual 2013 and the NOAC exhibition 2012.

Madeline works in printmaking and drawing, using concepts drawn from land as the basis for her imagery, and has worked on residencies and research trips as far afield as Finland and Nepal.
