Sabrina Mahfouz is a poet, playwright, performer and writer. She has just won the 2013 Sky Arts Futures Fund Award for her poetry work. As part of this award she’s set up P.O.P (Poetry On Production), a company creating, producing and promoting performance poetry in many forms.
This August Sabrina has a play at the Traverse in Edinburgh called Clean, about three women on a high-energy crime adventure and a poem as part of PEEP at the Assembly Rooms, about very rude stuff.
Her play A Shop Selling Speech about the political situation in Egypt will be part of the 2014 National Theatre Connections Season and she is producing a number of spoken word shows to be performed at the Underbelly next summer.
Sabrina is currently Associate Artist at the Bush Theatre and a Global Shaper with the World Economic Forum.
